The Children's Clinic of Lufkin proudly presents the inaugural Race for Hope Marathon • Half • 5K on Saturday, February 17, 2024! Runners will start and finish in historical downtown Lufkin and enjoy a quick and flat course through the Deep Pineywoods.

The swag bag, apparel and awesome medals that all runners will receive will already make you pumped for next year!

Warmup and stretching will start at 6:30 am. The 26.2 Marathon will start at 7:00 am; 13.1 Half Marathon will start at 7:10 am; and the 5K race will start at 7:20 am.

All runners and volunteers need to report to the parking lot in front of The Lufkin Daily News at 300 Ellis Avenue

Volunteers need to arrive no later than 6:00 am on race day. 

Packet Pick up will take place at

513 S. First StLufkin, TX 75901

9am - 4pm

Tuesday February 15th, 2025.

The kids run will take place downtown starting at the Regions Bank parking long next to Shepherd St. Each runner will need to check in at 5:30pm and will begin running at dusk. 
 

9am - 4pm

Monday February 14th, 2025.

Runners will start and finish in historical downtown Lufkin and enjoy a quick and flat course through the Deep Pineywoods.

 

Half Marathoners will create a 13.1-mile loop throughout the city, while Marathoners will

complete the same loop twice. Water stations and porta-johns will be located approximately every two miles along the course, and restrooms

will be at the start/finish line.

Water, Electrolyte, and GU will be at each station.
